Fall Ideas

Okay I guess I better get going with actually posting ideas up here. A few quick ideas for the season:
Leaf collecting is a great language activity. There are a lot of targets. You could work on verbs or directions such as "pick the leaf" "throw the leaf" "stomp on the leaf." You could also work on colors such as red, yellow, green, brown, and pink.

Save collections of fall leaves by putting them between two sheets of contact paper. This is great for little ones because it is fast and requires no glue.

There are great opportunities for narrative retells and sequencing during this time of year. Here are a couple of activities that you could create pictures to use for sequencing or ask the parent to take pictures of their child:
Carving a pumpkin
Putting on costume
Going trick-or-treating
Going to the corn maze
Making Halloween cookies

Let me know if you have any other ideas!
Thanks!

Welcome!

Hey USU speechies and others. At the urging of my classmates I've created this blog for all of us to help each other out with getting ideas for therapy. I hope all of you will be willing to share and comment. Thanks!
